Garage Fire Called 'Suspicious'

Arcadia Fire Department is investigating a New Year's Day fire on Camino Real Avenue.

The Arcadia Fire Department is investigating a fire that demolished a detached two-car garage Tuesday and called the blaze "suspicious."

The fire in the 200 block of Camino Real Avenue began at 7:19 p.m. and was extinguished by 7:31 p.m. There were no injuries, and no damage was done to the home, Arcadia Fire Department spokeswoman Beth Stogner said.

Stogner said the homeowners had planned to demolish the garage soon and the fire "appears suspicious in nature."
