Illegal? Ugh. Tell that to all the people who've been blasting our neighborhood for the last three weeks. :o( Granted, most of those are fire CRACKERS, which, if I remember right, are illegal everywhere. In any event, my cats are *not* happy.

Oh, firecrackers are awful! I HATE those things. They sound like gun shots and they're dangerous. When I was little, my parents took my brothers and I to the show at the Rose Bowl. On the walk back to the parking lot, some idiot lit a firecracker and dropped it right next to me. Needless to say, my dad was not happy and ripped the guy a new one. What jerk lights firecrackers near little kids? If you want to do that, find an empty dirt lot somewhere with no people around.

Natalie, have you heard if Chantry Flats area is closed in the days around the 4th? Monrovia Canyon Park is closed to ALL on July 3,4,5.

No. I haven't, actually. I'll put it in a call tomorrow and check it out. Thanks for the tip! : )
