Holy Angels School Still Closed Despite Accused Cop Killer's Apparent Death

The church's pastor, Michael Evans, is the brother of Theresa Evans—one of officers named in accused cop killer Christopher Dorner's manifesto.

Holy Angels School will remain closed Wednesday—despite the apparent death of accused quadruple homicide suspect Christopher Jordan Dorner during a fiery shootout with police in Big Bear, a church employee said.

It is unclear when classes will resume.

The school has been closed since Monday because its pastor, Michael Evans, is the brother of Theresa Evans—a cop the former LAPD officer formally accused of using excessive force against a suspect.

The complaint against his former supervisor, Dorner charged, led to his retaliatory firing in 2009.

Authorities have not yet confirmed Dorner's death, but say they have reason to believe the charred remains recovered from the Big Bear cabin following Tuesday's shootout is Dorner's.
