House Fire on Camino Real

No people or pets were injured in the blaze.

A fire severely damaged the back house of an abandoned property Wednesday, but firefighters had the blaze out within minutes.

Both Los Angeles County and Arcadia City firefighters responded to the blaze on the 9000 block of Camino Real at 2:50 p.m., LACFD Dispatch Supervisor Clyde Taylor said.

A reader on Patch's Facebook page reported heavy traffic in the area of Camino Real and Temple City Blvd. as crews worked to extinguish the flames.

Firefighters had the fire knocked out by 3:06 p.m., Taylor said, adding that the fire did not spread either of the two neighboring structures on the property.

Taylor said she did not know what caused the fire, nor did she have an estimate for the cost of the damage.
