A 30-year-old woman injured herself Tuesday after she went diving at Hermit Falls in the Chantry Flats area, police said.

Authorities received the call at 11:36 a.m. Sierra Madre Police notified the Temple Sheriff's Station that the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team was being activated to find the injured woman, said Lieutenant Edward Godfrey of the Sheriff's Department.

The injured woman received back injuries from her dive and was eventually flown out, said Sergeant Esther Doyle of Sierra Madre Police.
