Traffic Collision Reported in Duarte
At least three injured in wreck on Huntington Drive
UPDATE, 8:47 p.m.: witness accounts revealed one of the vehicles involved in the collision earlier Monday evening may have veered into oncoming traffic, said Lieutenant Loy McBride.
The vehicle was traveling westbound on Huntington Drive when it allegedly veered into eastbound lanes. Deputies reported four vehicles were involved in the crash.
Deputies are continuing an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
The driver of the car that allegedly caused the collision received a severe laceration on his leg and is expected to be fine, McBride said.
Traffic in the area was hampered for an hour while the crash was moved and patients were transported. A secondary crash nearby on Maynard Drive and Buena Vista Street also caused traffic to be further delayed, McBride said.
