Man Arrested, Found Drunk Sitting In Van at Intersection

Concerned Samaritan notified police after finding the man.

Police arrested an alleged DUI driver early Saturday after a concerned citizen discovered the man passed out at an intersection.

Police responded around 4:09 p.m. to the intersection of Las Tunas Drive and Holly Avenue. The citizen found the man, who appeared to be unconscious, sitting in his gray van, according to scanner reports.

Police arrived and found that the man was asleep at the wheel, said Lieutenant Colleen Flores of Arcadia Police.

Police arrested Gianni Spata, 43, from Arcadia, on suspicion of DUI.
