Man Found Dead in Motel Room

A man was found dead Friday in a motel room in an unincorporated area between Arcadia and Pasadena and sheriff's homicide detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding the death.

The body was discovered around 1 p.m. at a motel in the 3800 block of Colorado Boulevard, between Rosemead Boulevard and Michillinda Avenue, said Deputy Kim Manatt of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

Sheriff's deputies responding to the location on a call regarding an unresponsive person found the victim in a motel room and he was pronounced dead, Manatt said.

"Motel personnel were alerted when the occupant of the room failed to check out in a timely manner," Manatt said.

The victim has not been identified, and the cause of death remains unknown.

Authorities urged anyone with information regarding this death to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
