Authorities have released the identity of a Los Angeles man who died Friday in a gruesome wreck on the 134 Freeway.
Jimmy Hughes Jr., 37, was traveling westbound near the Harvey Drive exit just after 7 a.m. when he lost control of his Chevrolet Suburban.
The SUV went off the shoulder of the road, down an embankment, across the median and into the freeway's eastbound lanes before colliding with a Toyota Solara and overturning.
The man driving the Toyota suffered only minor injuries, according to the CHP.
