Man’s Body Discovered in Azusa Canyon

Sheriff's officials believe the man found in the Angeles National Forest Wednesday may have committed suicide.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a body in Azusa Canyon on Wednesday morning.

A motorist discovered the body in the Angeles National Forest about three miles north of Azusa at around 4:35 a.m. on Wednesday. Deputies say the motorist was driving along the canyon road and spotted someone lying on the side of the road.

The person discovered the man was dead and called 911.

Sheriff’s officials say there was no sign of foul play and believe the case may be a suicide. No description of the victim was available.

Homicide and coroner officials are currently investigating.
