Lanes Cleared After Multi-Vehicle Collision Brings 210 Traffic to Standstill
No known reports of injuries in collision.
UPDATE, 6:34 p.m.: All lanes were cleared of the accident as of 5:47 p.m., according to Tatiana Sauquillo of the CHP.
Arcadia fire fighters were called to the scene for possible injuries, but none were confirmed by officers. Authorities are investigating the claim that the driver of a black BMW or Mercedes Benz was swerving and texting prior to the collision, Sauquillo said.
PREVIOUSLY: A multi-vehicle collision was reported on the 210 freeway westbound at Huntington Drive, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened around 5:34 p.m. There may be as many as four vehicles blocking the HOV and No. 1 lanes, according to CHP traffic logs. Traffic westbound appears to be severely backed up to as far as Highland Avenue as of 5:58 p.m.
It is not known at this time if any injuries have been reported. CHP officers first arrived on scene a little after 5:50 p.m.
