UPDATE: SCE Says All Customers to Have Power by 3 p.m.

A power outage is affecting commuters across the city. Alternate routes are advised.

Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Klein said power was restored to all but 46 of 607 customers affected by the outage as of 8:30 a.m.

Klein said full power should be restored to all customers by 3:30 p.m.

The boundaries of the outage are as follows:

Northern and Western boundaries are at Santa Clara Street.

Eastern boundary is at North Santa Anita Avenue.

Southern boundary is at W. Huntington Drive.

The has issued a traffic advisory for the intersections of Santa Anita and Huntington Drive, and Santa Clara and Huntington Drive for an the next 4-6 hours.

Southern California Edison has reported that an electrical component has failed, resulting in an area power outage that includes these two major intersections in Arcadia. The outage began Tuesday night.

SCE officials reported that the equipment replacement may take several hours to replace and power will not be restored to the affected area until the replacement is completed.

The Arcadia Police Department is monitoring the traffic flow along these roadways and will assist with the traffic control/flow, as needed, until the traffic signals are restored.

The City of Arcadia Public Works Department is in the process of installing auxiliary power to the affected traffic signals. In the meantime, commuters are advised to allow extra time to navigate through the area.

As a reminder, between Santa Anita and San Antonio for a weeklong Gold Line-related bridge removal.
