Update: SCE restored power to all its customers by 3:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. A representative for the power company said a failed underground cable caused the outage.
Also, the outage, began shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and affected a total of 1,588 customers, not 800.
Original: A power outage has 800 Southern California Edison customers in Arcadia in the dark Wednesday.
The outage is centered in the area of Huntington and Golden West, south of Colorado and west of the Los Angeles County Arboretum, according to Arcadia Fire Department officials.
The outage was reported around 5:30 p.m., and SCE crews have been notified. The cause of the outage has yet to be determined.
