UPDATE: Overturned Semi-Truck Collision on the 210 East

A person involved in the accident had to be extricated from a vehicle early this morning, say authorities.

UPDATE: The overturned semi-truck was a F&W truck transporting refrigerated food, according to Pasadena Star-News.

The accident occurred when the truck hit a stopped car on the 210 E at approximately 5:04 am.  The impact caused the truck to lose control and strike the retaining wall, reported the SGV Tribune. 

Due to a large diesel and cargo spill from the truck, the accident wasn't cleared until 2:39 pm.

The truck driver, 51-year-old Ricardo Riveria, is expected to recover from the collision, reported Pasadena Star-News.

A collision on the 210 involving several cars and an overturned semi-truck continues to cause traffic on the right two lanes east of Baldwin.

CHP officer, Ed Jacobs, reported that a person involved in the collision had to be extricated from a vehicle.  He could not confirm the number of people injured in the accident.
