(Photos) Fire Devours Arcadia Garage

Investigators have yet to determine what sparked the flames, which caused an estimated $70,000 in damage.

Flames fully engulfed a garage and attached carport Tuesday night.

At 9:57 p.m., the , along with an engine from the Monrovia Fire Department, arrived to fight a structure fire on a vacant property in the 2100 block of South Santa Anita Avenue.

By that time, the fire had already destroyed the two-car garage with attached carport on the property. Firefighters found a live power line draped across the top of the garage and carport, but have yet to determine the cause of the flames.

The incident commander immediately notified Southern California Edison about the downed power line, and fire crews extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. No other structures were damaged during this incident.
