Police Chase Through Arcadia Streets Ends in Crash

Arcadia Police officers arrested two men who led police on a chase through the city's residential streets Wednesday.

Two men were arrested Wednesday after their car crashed following a police chase through residential streets in Arcadia.

The two men allegedly fled in a stolen vehicle after an attempted traffic stop near Sixth Avenue and Longden Avenue, according to an Arcadia Police Department news release. Police followed in pursuit and chased the suspects through several residential streets before losing sight of them, the release states.

"A short time later, the stolen vehicle crashed into a vehicle traveling southbound on Holly Avenue at the intersection of Warren Way," the release states. "Another officer happened to be traveling southbound on Holly Avenue, just north of the collision, and the suspects were quickly taken into custody."

The driver, 37-year-old David Charles Phillips of Arcadia, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and evading a police officer along with the passenger Terry Adam Hulett, 32, of Duarte.

Hulett is a parolee and was placed on a parole hold, according to police. Phillips is being held in lieu of $75,000 in bail.
