Police Investigate Threatening E-mail Sent to Arcadia High School

The e-mail stated two students had handguns on campus.

Police are looking for the source of a threatening e-mail sent to an Arcadia High School administrator Thursday.

Shortly after 10 a.m., school officials notified detectives about an anonymous email indicating two students had smuggled handguns onto campus. Police arrived shortly thereafter. They determined no threat existed and did not call for a lockdown.

Students and police remained on campus through the dismissal time of 12:27 p.m. The school had a minimum-day schedule due to mid-term testing.
