Police Investigating Reported Burglary Attempt

Would-be burglars were determined in breaking into a local business.

An Arcadia business was reportedly broken into over the weekend.

Police investigated the break-in — which took place in the 500 block of North First Avenue, around 9 p.m. — officials said. The suspects allegedly used pliers to force open a lock on one of the building's doors.

Whoever broke in then allegedly tunneled his or her way through some drywall to gain access into at least two other offices, said Lieutenant Roy Nakamura.

The crime may have occurred some time between July 13 and 15.
