Police Nab Teen Suspects After Armed Robbery Attempt

Two Pasadena teens face felony charges after allegedly trying to rob Advantis Ride Shop in Arcadia Tuesday morning.

According to the , two juveniles face felony charges after attempting to rob in the 1000 block of South Baldwin Tuesday morning around 11 a.m.

Police said two teenage suspects, 16 and 15 years old, entered the store brandishing weapons that appeared to be handguns. After an employee knocked down one of the suspects, forcing a weapon out of the teen's hand, the second suspect struck the victim with the butt of his weapon and the suspects fled the scene, according to the APD's official blog.

A witness alerted an Arcadia police officer who was in the area of the crime scene, and after a short search the suspects were found in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue and detained, according to Sgt. Stephen Fallavollita of the APD.

The suspects, both Pasadena natives, were booked on felony charges of attempted robbery, false imprisonment, using a simulated firearm in the commission of a felony and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

Sgt. Fallavolitta said he believed the weapons used by the suspects were pellet guns.
