Police Seek Gunman Who Shot Into Car with Child in Back Seat

The shooting occurred in the area of California and Cypress Avenues in Monrovia.

Monrovia police searched today for a gunman who shot into a car as it backed out of a driveway with a child in the back seat.

No one was hurt in the shooting, which occurred in the area of California and Cypress avenues around 9 p.m. Sunday, said Monrovia police Sgt. Nick Manfredi.

"A man was backing his vehicle out of a residential driveway when a car
pulled up and stopped, a suspect got out of the right front passenger door
and began shooting at the victim's car,'' Manfredi said. "A 3-year-old boy
strapped in a restraint seat in back was not struck.''
