Red Flag Fire Warning Issued by Weather Service
The National Weather Service warned of an elevated fire danger for Los Angeles County Wednesday.
A red flag warning was issued Wednesday by the National Weather Service due to an elevated fire risk caused by offshore winds and warm conditions.
"A late season offshore wind event will bring moderate to locally strong northeast winds to the mountains and valleys of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties...," the NWS special weather statement reads. "The offshore flow will bring an extended period of very warm and dry conditions to much of the area through Friday."
The Arcadia Police Department posted the warning on its Nixle feed.
