Tu was able to escape momentarily and called 9-1-1, the suit states. But her husband hung up the phone, then later called the number back and said he had dialed the wrong number the first time, according to the complaint.

Oang then stabbed Tu "several times on her lower back and lower abdomen" as well as in her left arm, the suit states.

Oang continued to restrain Tu, but authorities eventually arrived at the home and took her husband into custody, according to the suit.

Tu was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, where she underwent surgery and remained for four to five days, according to the complaint. She filed for divorce Oct. 26.
