Second Suspect Arrested in Park Stabbing

Ashton Elizabeth Bond is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Police arrested a second suspect in the stabbing of a transient in a Pasadena park when she attended Tuesday's arraignment of the first suspect, her boyfriend.

Ashton Elizabeth Bond, 25, and Anthony Freeman, 30, are charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of the unidentified victim.

Jail records indicate the couple are being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Pasadena police Lt. Tracey Ibarra told the Pasadena Star-News that Bond has an Alhambra address, but detectives believe she had been staying at Freeman's Arcadia home.

The newspaper reported Bond and Freeman allegedly went to Central Park on Sunday in search of the victim, a man in his mid-30s, before stabbing him multiple times in the upper torso.

He was hospitalized in stable condition, and should make a full recovery.

According to the Star-News, a dispute between the victim and a friend of the suspects led to the stabbing.
