Supes Offer Reward for Information Leading to Father of 3's Killer

The Board of Supervisors today approved at $10,000 reward for information leading to the gunman who s in a home invasion robbery in unincorporated Arcadia.

The crime occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Dec. 12 in the 11000 block of Kristi Court. Returning home, Jose Antonio Parra, 35, his wife and three children — boys, 3 and 5, and a 6-year-old girl — were ambushed by a gunman who demanded money.

Parra gave the robber the family's rent money — about $1,800 — but the gunman forced the family into their home and ordered the mother and her children into a back bedroom. They could hear the man demanding more money from Parra before shooting him several times and running off, police said.
Sheriff's deputies described the suspect as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a bandage under his left eye. He wore dark clothing and a black hooded sweatshirt. A sketch was released by sheriff's deputies.
