Thief Steals $2,000 Worth of Dried Sea Cucumbers

The suspect is described as a 40-something Asian man.

Arcadia police are on the lookout for a thief with a predilection for dried sea cucumbers.

Lt. Roy Nakamura told the Pasadena Star-News that a man walked into USA Ginseng City at 1240 S. Golden West Ave. around noon Monday and swiped two bags — or, about $2,000 worth — of the delicacy.

Sea Cucumbers are marine animals. They are used frequently in French and Asian dishes and are believed to offer numerous health benefits.
