UPDATED: Tree Trimmer Dies of Electrocution

Police still on scene at the reported accident, no one else injured.

UPDATE, 2:51 p.m.: The worker killed in an industrial accident was working on a tree to the rear of a private residence in the 1400 block of Orlando Drive, authorities said. The man reportedly became entangled with a power line and was electrocuted.

The man reportedly fell to his death, said Lieutenant Bob Anderson. The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of family members.

PREVIOUSLY: A tree trimmer has reportedly died while working in Arcadia near the border of Sierra Madre Saturday morning, according to authorities.

The accident happened some time before 11 a.m. to the rear of a residence near Orlando Drive and East Orange Grove Avenue. According to scanner reports, the caller stated a man was seen hanging where he may have been electrocuted.

Officers are still on scene and Southern California Edison crews are also on scene and had officers shut down eastbound Orange Grove at Orlando to work where the accident happened. The man's coworkers are also on scene.

Family members of the man arrived just before noon.
