'Zombies' Targeted in Distracted Driving Campaign (Video)
The California Office of Traffic Safety released a series of campaign videos with Californian, distracted 'zombies' behind the wheel.
Zombie drivers are the stars of a California Office of Traffic Safety YouTube video campaign during National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, according to LAist.
In the videos, flesh-eating Californians are pulled over for various moving violations, including grooming, texting, calling and even partying while driving. A first time citation for a distracted driving violation costs a minimum of $159, while a second violation costs at least $279, LAist reports.
The Arcadia Police Department announced it will participate in National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, along with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies and 103 California Highway Patrol offices.
