Arcadia Mayor Will Not Seek Re-Election

Mickey Segal says his decision not to run was based on his growing accounting and business management firm.

Arcadia Mayor Mickey Segal announced Tuesday that he will not seek re-election, leaving three open seats will be up for grabs in the City Council race in April, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

Segal said his decision not to run was based on his growing accounting and business management firm, Century City-based Nigro Karlin Segal Feldstein and Bolno, LLP.

“As a managing partner, it has put a substantial amount of more burden on me to manage this practice,” said Segal, according to the Star-News. “As a result of that, I was very concerned that I couldn’t spend the time necessary to properly service my job as a city councilman.”
