Study Session on Homeowners' Association Resolution

A resolution that would streamline Arcadia's homeowners' associations is on Tuesday's council agenda.

The will discuss a proposed resolution Tuesday that would consolidate the separate resolutions governing the design review processes for the city's five homeowners' associations.

Each homeowners' association has its own resolution regulating architectural design and other standards. This makes for a lack of consistency among the different associations, often creating confusion for the associations' architectural review boards and even developers.

The proposed resolution would address this and other issues.

Other items on the council's full agenda include the relocation of tenants occupying the Redevelopment Agency-owned property on Santa Anita between Santa Clara and Morlan Place.

Also on the agenda is a $65,000 contract for the Ferguson Group, a lobbying firm that has helped the city secure millions for water and transportation projects. The council will also vote on whether to issue a conditional use permit for Circus Vargas to bring a show to , marking the first time the track has applied the new standards recently approved by the City Council to .

The homeowners' association resolution study session will take place in Council Chambers at City Hall at 5:30 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow at 7 p.m. City Hall is at 240 W. Huntington Drive in Arcadia.
