Detours Ahead: Sewage Pipe Replacement to Cause Traffic Delays

A new sewage pipe is expected to increase capacity and prevent overflows. However, be prepared for some minor traffic headaches in the meantime.

The City of Arcadia has executed a contract with MNR Construction, Inc. to remove and replace the existing 10-inch sewer pipe with a 12-inch pipe on Old Ranch Road at the intersection of Victoria Drive. This project will prevent sewer overflows.

WHEN
Work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday and will continue until Sept. 12. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. No work will take place on weekends or holidays.

WHERE
The improvements will be made on Old Ranch Road at the intersection of Victoria Drive.

WHAT TO EXPECT
• There will be road closures and detours in the construction area.
• Old Ranch Road will be closed to through traffic during construction (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon-day through Friday).
• The construction area will be cleaned up and the street will be re-opened at the end of each day.
• No Parking within the work zone will be permitted.
• Pedestrian access to homes will be maintained at all times during construction.
• Large excavation equipment will remain in the construction area.
• During construction, there will be some noise and dust.
