City of Arcadia Law Day

The City of Arcadia and the Arcadia Chinese Association are proud to sponsor the annual Law Day event that will be taking place on Saturday. May 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Arcadia Public Library.

Volunteer attorneys are available to meet with the public and provide a brief one-on-one consultation on general legal issues including immigration, consumer rights, landlord-tenant issues, insurance problems, property, family law, bankruptcy, government benefits, employee rights, workers' comp, personal injury, etc. They will provide a summary of legal rights and general advice on a "walk-up" basis and, where appropriate, will refer individuals to the proper legal or governmental organizations. Law Day attorneys are unable to accept cases from the people they meet at the event.

Participants are encouraged to bring all information pertinent to their case so the attorney is able to give the most accurate and reliable legal advice. No reservations are taken for this free service and everyone is welcome to attend.
