A crowd gathered Wednesday to celebrate the grand opening of the Norman S. Johnson Aquatics Center at .
The nearly $10 million project includes a 6,150-square-foot competition swimming pool, a 6,300-square-foot recreation and therapy swimming pool with an integrated splash pool, and a bathhouse building.
Attendees of the grand opening also had the opportunity to see an art exhibition and youth art mural created by participants in the Theatre Of Hearts/Youth First Workshops, a program commissioned by the Civic Art Program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
