Tim Donnelly Mulls Run to be California Governor
He revealed to a conservative website that he has plans to open an exploratory committee.
Recently re-elected Assemblyman Tim Donnelly is exploring a run for California’s governorship.
Donnelly, who previously represented Arcadia before winning the seat for the newly redrawn 33rd district – representing high desert communities – told PolitiChicks he decided to open an exploratory committee to run for governor because, “there’s nobody out there who’s fighting for us.”
Donnelly made his comments to Ann-Marrie Murrell, listed on the PolitiChick website as anchor and the National Director/Editor-in-Chief of PolitiChicks.tv.

Donnelly explained the committee is a way for candidates to determine if enough support can be gathered for a successful run.
The assemblyman has been a long-time critic of California’s legislature. He is a Tea Party favorite and once told Redlands Tea Party Patriots during an address that the state politicians have no respect for rules “because we are run by a bunch of lawless thugs who control Sacramento.”
