It took more than 20 nighttime closures of the eastbound I-210 Freeway to remove the temporary falsework structure from under the Gold Line Bridge.
Throughout September and into October, workers removed 2.5 million pounds of steel and timber from the massive structure, revealing pattern work on the underside of the superstructure, the three columns and the main crossbeam, otherwise known as the outrigger.

Over the next several weeks, efforts will concentrate on the installation of the two iconic "baskets" at each end of the outrigger.
