Which Restaurants Restaurants Got a 'B' Grade or Worse?

The answer may surprise you.

Most of the 283 restaurants in Arcadia passed a recent Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's food inspections, earning an "A" grade from the agency.

About 15 local spots didn't measure up, however, receiving a "B" or lower. Two eateries received a "C" grade.

Dumpling House at 921 S. Baldwin Ave. received a "C" from the health department, according to online records.

The LACDPH reports that Dumpling House had the following violations during an inspection on Aug. 14, 2012:

  • Improper sanitation of food contact surfaces
  • Non-food contact surfaces - not clean (minor)

Dumpling House had received an "A" on three previous inspections before the August one, according to the health department.

Lollicup on 643 S. Duarte also received a grade of "C," with an employee's failure to wash his or her hands being the most serious violation.

The Baldwin Avenue Lollicup location received an "A" grade, however.
