Arcadia High Fires Champion Cross Country Coach Without Explanation
James O'Brien says school officials told him they wanted "to go in a different direction."
Arcadia High School cross country coach James O'Brien, who has led the Apaches to three straight CIF championships, has been fired, the On Prep Sports blog reports.
O'Brien told the blog that he was not given any explanation for his dismissal and was told only that the school wants to "go in a different direction." O'Brien said he has done nothing wrong, according to the blog.
