Arcadia High Hall of Fame Coach Dead at 76

A memorial service for former Arcadia High baseball coach Alan "Lani" Exton is scheduled May 4 in Glendora.

Alan “Lani” Exton, the former Arcadia High School baseball coach who led the Apaches to a Southern Section 3A championship in 1965, died at Citrus Valley Medical Center Sunday. He was 76.

Exton played baseball at both Arcadia High School and UCLA, going on to coach the Apaches from 1964 to 1973, according to the Los Angles Times Varsity Times Insider. In 2003, Exton was inducted into the Arcadia High School Coaches Hall of Fame.

A memorial service for Exton is May 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Loraine Avenue Baptist Church in Glendora.
