The competition grilled contestants on ocean-based sciences in a buzzer-style, critical thinking-based team challenge.

The competition also allowed students to participate in a number of hands-on science activities. They also had the opportunity to tour science research labs and reserves in Milwaukee and they were mentored by leaders in the science field.
