Parcel Tax Ballot Due Tuesday

Voters have until 8 p.m. tonight to cast their ballots in the school parcel tax election.

The deadline to cast your ballot in the parcel tax election has arrived. The City Clerk's Office will remain open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday to collect ballots.

The AUSD board of educationof $228 per parcel annually for five years called Measure A. Exemptions will be made for seniors and those receiving Supplemental Security Income for disabilities.

To pass, the tax must receive 66 percent voter approval.

Drop off your ballots Tuesday at the City Clerk's Office at 240 West Huntington Drive. Voters can also deliver their ballots directly to the Los Angeles County Elections Office at 12400 Imperial Highway in Norwalk.
