Arcadia SR Taylor Lagace Talks Upcoming Season

Lagace focused to lead Apaches to CIF title.

Arcadia Patch got a chance to chat with Apaches star senior Taylor Lagace following Tuesday's practice.

Lagace, who splits his time between safety and wide receiver, is the top playmaker on both sides of the ball for the Apaches this year, and the future Washington Husky has his eyes set on CIF glory.

Lagace desparately wants to end his Arcadia career with a CIF-Southern Section Southeast Division title, which would be the first in school history. Arcadia saw its season end with a disappointing 35-27 loss to Norwalk in the first round of the playoffs last November.

For Lagace, who was injured during the game, that loss was especially tough to endure.

"I couldn’t sleep that night," he said.

But that bitter end fueled Lagace throughout the offseason and now he thinks the Apaches are poised to make history this year.

“This year we have a lot of confidence going into the season, we think we’re the best team," Lagace said. "We’re just going to go from there and win the whole thing.”
