Local Youth Cheer and Football League Needs Sponsors

The Arcadia Indians serves youths in Arcadia Sierra Madre and Monrovia.

Editor's Note: The Arcadia Junior All American Football Association, Inc. (also called the Arcadia Indians) is a non-profit volunteer organization "dedicated to developing sportsmanship and leadership skills through youth football and cheer programs."

The league serves youths ages 6-14 who live in Arcadia, Monrovia or Sierra Madre. This post was adapted from an e-mail submitted to Patch by Loren Aguilar, the Arcadia Indians cheer and special events coordinator.

Recently, the Arcadia Indians stood in jeopardy of losing the league. At the end of last season, the Indians almost had to join the Temple City league, since they did not have a board of directors or any funds.

Contact Mindy Dunkle at mindy_dunkle(at)yahoo.com if you or any businesses you know of would be willing to sponsor the program.

Sponsorships start as low as $100 and all donations are tax deductible.

The league also needs businesses to donate items to be sold at its Pep Rally. Hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, water bottles, chips and other food items would all be welcome.

In a similar vein, the league will host a Stateline turnaround trip in July and needs donations for the raffle on the bus to Stateline. Gift certificates, sports memorabilia would be some great items for the raffle.
