1. What: First Santa Anita Autumn Meet
2. Schedule: Sept. 30-Nov. 6. Racing four days a week, Thursday through Sunday. One exception: There will be racing on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 10.
3. Post Time: 1 p.m. (gates open at 11 a.m.). Exceptions: Noon post time on Nov, 4, 5 and 6 (gates on those dates open at 10 a.m.)

4. Friday’s Featured Race: The Grade III $100,000 Senator Ken Maddy Stakes for fillies and mares 3 years old and up at 6½ furlongs over downhill turf course.
5. Saturday’s Four Grade I Stakes: The $250,000 Norfolk Stakes for 2-year-olds at 1 1/6th mile; the $250,000 Goodwood Stakes for 3-year-olds and up at 1 1/8th mile; the $250,000 Yellow Ribbon Stakes for fillies and mares 3 years old and up at 1 ¼ mile on turf; the $250,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes for fillies and mares 3 years old and up at 1 1/6th mile.

6. Sunday’s Grade I Feature: The $250,000 Oak Leaf Stakes for fillies 2 years old.
7. Other Highlights: The Grade II $150,000 Oak Tree Mile on turf, Oct. 8; Grade II $150,000 Oak Tree Derby on turf, Oct. 15, the 22nd running of the Cal Cup, Oct. 29, and the Grade II $150,000 Las Palmas Stakes on Nov. 6, closing day.
8. Admission: $5 for general, $8.50 for Club House, $20 for Turf Club. Children 17 and under free when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
9. Random facts: The stable area consists of 2,000 stalls in 61 barns, with approximately 2,000 horses on the 320-acre Santa Anita Park site. Seating capacity is 26,000 in the grandstand area. The infield has room for some 50,000.
