Power Outage Reported in Arcadia

No official word on cause of the outage, no word on when power might be restored.

A power outage is affecting over 1,300 residents in town, according to information provided by Southern California Edison.

The outage was first reported around 4:20 p.m. According to scanner reports, officers reported the outage may be due to a blown transformer, but officials with SCE have not yet returned phone calls to verify  the cause of the outage. There has been no word on when the problem may be fixed.

Officers on patrol observed blacked out intersections at North Golden West Avenue at Callita Street and Temple City Blvd. and East Camino Real Avenue.

According to information provided by the SCE web site, the outage is centered near West Longden and South Baldwin avenues.
