Arcadia Blues Fest Benefits Search & Rescue Team
Emmanuel Church in Arcadia will host a Blues festival to benefit the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team.
Arcadia's will host a Blues & Gospel Festival benefiting the on Saturday. The festival runs from noon until evening.
Admission is free.
The festivities will feature top blues bands, a bouncy house, face painting and other recreational activities for kids, as well as gourmet food trucks and 50/50 raffles and drawings. Car lovers will enjoy the vintage cars and motorcycles on display.

The festival features a lineup of some of the best and well-known blues bands in the area. Guitar Jack and the No Slack Band will headline the festival. Other bands scheduled to play are Reverend Tom and the Good News Blues Band, along with George Watts and the Howlin’ Blues Boogie Band.
A jam session will follow, with a full back-line provided, and everyone who signs up to jam will get a chance to play.

Organizers are still looking for sponsorships and donations are accepted in advance or at the event. The 50/50 drawing spoils will be split between the winner and the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team.
The Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team is a group of volunteers committed to saving lives in the wilderness. Founded in 1951, the team conducts search and rescue operations and provides EMT level medical care in wilderness areas surrounding Sierra Madre and throughout California.
in Sierra Madre, owned by Dan Bryant, is the primary sponsor of the event. Emmanuel church offered its property and blues band connections.
There will be plenty of street parking available and volunteers will remain on hand to assist with parking on church property.
