A true Arcadia landmark, Santa Anita Park opened on Christmas day in 1934. With the beautiful San Gabriel Mountatins serving as a backdrop the track has proved a popular location for film and television. A number of famous horses have galloped down the track including the cinematically-immortalized Seabiscuit. Regulars gather daily to smoke cigars, watch races and of course, make wagers.
