The power within powerball

I was driving north on Baldwin Ave. earlier today when there it was, a bold looking sign in a liquor store window advertising power ball that read, “Reach for something higher.”

                                     And that made my day.

It’s easy to allow personal preference to dominate everyday circumstances. You know how it is, another blasting hot day but you would prefer a cooler one. Today you are working with that person, the one that irritates you the most, but you really would rather work alongside someone else. Oh great now you’re stuck driving behind the slowest driver in the world! Why does this always happen to me?

And the sign said, “Reach for something higher”

Global warming is in human beings, and reflects right back as being interconnected  throughout our universe. After all you are the one perceiving it. It is the impulse to react with emotional outburst when really there was a bigger lesson to be learned. It is the habitual complaint of stressful circumstances instead of replacing that insecurity with a higher qualities of trust and personal growth.

Who would have thought that a sign with so much influence would be posted on the window of a Liquor store, a common every day place that most of us just take for granted on a daily basis. But the signs are everywhere in all that you do. Reaching for something higher is not only an ability to be grateful for, but a power ball winner every time.
